The practice was established in 2001 by Garry Adam, and in 2024 Grace Wood became a director in the firm and we rebranded to Adam & Gordon Architects. Throughout the years we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work across both the domestic and commercial sectors.
Underpinning our work is a belief in architecture’s capacity to positively transform people’s lives and contribute sensitively to the built and natural environments. We are committed to the craft of sustainable construction and the research of new technologies in pursuit of making buildings that fulfil clients’ expectations, that are economically viable, efficiently procured and environmentally responsible. We also have significant experience of self-build and property development.
Our practice specialises in sustainable and low energy architecture and Garry has personal experience of Passivhaus Design having passed the Certified European Passive Home Designer course in 2011, then in 2012 he completed his own Passive Home at Kirkton of Craig.
