Sunnyhall Studio is an ancillary studio to Pitlyal byre, located North of Lundie on a formerly agricultural site.
The studio is used as a guest house and hobby space accessed directly off the small track leading to the loch adjacent to the site. It is carefully positioned to nestle into its surroundings while maintaining a strong relationship with the main house. Internally, the studio features an open-plan workspace with a small kitchen and toilet with a mezzanine level used for storage or sleeping.
The studio adapts the material palette of Pitlyal Byre, using sustainable timber construction finished in locally sourced Larch cladding with a fibre cement roofing to match. The cladding is left to naturally weather and turn grey.
